Openings are for stepping and seeing through ... to different places, new worlds, to new possibilities and new opportunities. When passing through they mark the passing. "Curtains" This window installation piece is symbolic of the opening that each individual is that allows us to enter into another world - their world. "Portal with View" The opening of this installation piece - the gateway, portal - frames and focuses our attention on a distant place (downtown Houston) and makes a visual connection to the place where we are standing (the park setting of the Houston Festival's Bayou Show). In the opposite direction a connection is made to Henry Moore's "Spindle Piece""Temple of Possibility" There are openings in every direction! - a multitude of possibilities! "Conversations in the Woods" This piece forms a gateway or marker on our journey along the path. As we enter between the figures, we interrupt the conversation and become a part of it before we enter into the next phase of our travels. "What"s That Voice I Hear?" Our eyes are the openings to the entire visual world. |
